WHY SHOULD ONE READ THE NEWLY PUBLISHED BOOK ON GODDESS MAHISHASURMARDINI TITLED MATRUVATSALYA VINDANAM AUTHORED BY P. P. ANIRUDDHA BAPU
On the Thursday of 1st October 2009, Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School grounds at Bandra East, Mumbai. The discourse centred on what bhav (thinking) should one have in his mind while visiting Aniruddha Gurukshetram and also why should one read the newly published book on Goddess Mahishasurmardini Mata titled Matruvatsalya (Motherly love) Vindanam authored by P. P. Aniruddha Bapu.
P. P. Bapu started His discourse by explaining importance of rules in our life. Bapu appealed to everyone to abide by the rules to the maximum possible extent as they regulate our life. But Bapu further said that God always rates Bhav (love and faith) above rules. Further Bapu explained that Krupa (God's blessings) is dependent on Bhav of devotee. Finally Bapu explained that God exempts His devotee (who tries to abide by His rules and laws to the maximum) when it actually comes to enforcing the rules but enforces them forcefully on all those who try to take maximum advantage of His love by breaking the rules and finding loop holes in them. (Here rule doesn't only mean legal, constitutional rules laid down by governments but also the rules laid down and explained by the Lord).
Further Bapu explained what does Yam and Chitragupt signify in one's life. Traditionally it is believed that Yam is the God of Death and his doots (messengers) come to humans at the time of their death to snatch the life out of our body. But Bapu said that the Yam actually signifies Parmeshwari Ichha (divine plan). Yam signifies the refereshing of human soul that is done by Lord before giving rebirth to that soul in a new bodily form.
Then Bapu explained meaning of Chitragupt. Traditionally it is believed that Chitragupt is the divine Accountant who knows all the good and bad deeds that one has performed during his life. He gives this tally of one's life to Yam when the soul comes to him after death. The name Chitragupt is self explanatory in itself, the one who can also see the hidden (gupt) picture (chitra) is Chitragupt. To this Bapu explained that Chitragupt signifies the reminder left over after the tally of good and bad deeds performed during living life by a person.
Further Bapu clarified the misconception, confusion and fear that surrounds and fills the minds of general people that 'Lord gets angry and causes harm to us when we do not abide by the promise we have made to Him'. Bapu firmly stated that the one who gets angry and harms would not be fits to be God because God never harms anybody out of His anger. Bapu examplified it and explained that even a human mother would also not harm her child out of her anger then how could this Divine Mother, your Lord, harm you? Yes the Lord gets angry but only where there is no bhakti (worship). If one worships any pure forms of Lord (e.g. Sai Baba, Swami Samarth, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Parshuram, Lord Vitthal, Lord Jagannath, Lord Venkatesh, Lord Dattaguru, Lord Dattatrey, Lord Nrusinh Saraswati, Lord Hanumant, Goddess Gayatri Mata, Goddess Anusaya Mata, Goddess Mahishasurmardini Mata, Lord Mahavishnu, Lord Paramshiv, Goddess Mahalaxmi, Goddess Mahakali, Goddess Mahasaraswati or your Sadguru) then we should not have fear of Lord inflicting any harm on us.
Further Bapu explained what bhav one should have in his heart when visiting Shree Kshetra Aniruddha Gurukshetram. Bapu said that while taking darshan of Goddess Mahishasurmardini at Aniruddha Gurukshetram one should always think that She is my mother or atleast that She is my beloved Bapu's mother and Bapu is my, my own. Aniruddha Gurukshetram has two Goddess viz., Goddess Anusaya who signifies love and is eveready to sing praise about Her children and the other being Goddess Mahishasurmardini who signifies end of evil and is eveready for defending Her children from evil.
P.P. Bapu explained that reading the book Matruvatsalya Vindanam would definitely benefit the reader (in bettering his life and eliminating all his troubles). Bapu also stressed the importance of reading the book especially during Navratri festival. (In the book Bapu explains that this book is the praise and love of Goddess Mahishasurmardini. Bapu also believes that the Goddess would sit next to the reader to listen to him and reciprocate it by showering her blessings on the reader as all the devotees are Her children).
Finally before winding up His discourse Bapu explained the meaning of Dadhichi (who was a great saint and a teacher). Bapu said that Dadhichi was so pure that Vajra which is the weapon used by Lord Indra, the king of divine universal powers (shivatme) is made from the bone ash of Dadhichi. Vajra can never be broken or harmed by any other weapon and is believed to the deadliest weapon for destruction of evil. The part of mind that has been converted to the purest form called Chitta is referred as Vajra. Bapu then said that Dadhichi signifies whole hearted worship and completely devotion (bhav). Bapu also referred to Lord Hanumant Who is called as Vajrang (Body made from Vajra) and again cleared one confusion of masses about the multiple heads that are seen affixed to torsos of Lord Dattaguru, Lord Hanumant (Panchmukhi Hanumant), etc. Bapu said that these Gods practically and biologically do not have 3, 5 or more heads attached to their torsos but these multiple heads are attached and visible only on the aesthetic, divine level.
Finally at the end of discourse P.P. Bapu appealed to all the devotees to try to abide by His principles, rules, thoughts and sayings and He would guarantee them that their life won't be a waste and death would be utilized.

PARAM POOJYA BAPU'S DISCOURSE ON "WHY AND HOW ONE COULD BECOME A RESPONSIBLE PARENT"
Bapu said that it is the general human tendancy to get attracted towards crowd. To justify this Bapu gave example of a two doctors; one with heavy crowd and other with no crowd at all. As a parent we would offcourse take our child to the doctor with heavy crowd even if that means waiting for few hours. And from here Bapu begins His tutorial on Responsible Parenthood.
Bapu said that we get attracted to crowd because we want security (Suraksha) and esteem (Pratishtha). Bapu said that this is where we humans make a mistake and wrongly choose esteem over security. Bapu gave an example over here. These days many Mumbaikars are moving out of their traditional and secured homes from Dadar, Parel, etc and are settling in esteemed, posh suburbs. Bapu is never against progress, but Bapu said that we need to evaluate the two factors mentioned above very carefully before taking any decision. Bapu said that because of false esteem man always sacrifices his security. Bapu again gave explicit examples over here and said that attending late night parties, drugging, drinking, smoking, etc is now these days considered as esteem.
Bapu further laid down a very, very important principle. Bapu said that parents should trust their children 99% and not 100% if they have to be responsible and feel that their children should progress on right path without any obstacles. Again Bapu gave an example over here and said that parents should definitely check the internet surfing log of their children if they are sitting on internet at late night. This should be done to see if your child is unknowingly not falling prey to sex rackets or is accessing pornographic sites, as children of teenage and above at their age feel attracted to these things and unknowingly fall prey to things which are hidden at the back of these sites like sex rackets or certain hypnotic sites.
Bapu said that parents should establish such relations with their children that even if the children get entangled in some problem arising out of their wrong act they(Children) should not fear to approach you, open up and tell their problems. Bapu said that the relationship between most of the children and parents these days are not as open as mentioned here and hence when children get entangled in some wrong thing they dont get the confidence of approaching their parents as they would not find the solution but would only be end up being thrashed and at some instances even thrown out of the house. Bapu said that this should not happen. If your child gets stuck somewhere then he should have to confidence to approach you and you should also assist him to get out of that problem.
Bapu further said that look at your children as Most-Obedient-Child and not as Most-Obedient-Slave / Prisoner.
Bapu said that parents try to fulfill all the wishes of their children thinking that my child should get all that I couldn't get in my childhood or teenage. Bapu said that this thinking is absolutely wrong. To justify this Bapu again gave an example over here. Bapu said that parents should not say Yes to every demand of their children. This should be done because when these children step in the outside materialistic world they perpetually hear "No" to their various desires and plans and then this leads to frustration which ends in acts like acid attacks, suicides, etc.
Bapu further critisized the reason given by many parents that they dont have time to look after their children. Bapu said that saying, "I have no time", is the biggest lie in the world. Bapu pointed out that because off this tendency the numbers of boarding schools are going up in the society. Bapu frankly said that the parents who give this reason incase of their children are not even fit to be parents.
For children, Bapu also said that if the child feels embarrassed when his mother feeds him in front of others or his friends then he is wrong. Bapu said that this is the act of sheer love and not lower-class act as termed by few so-called white-collared people.
Now, Bapu came back to the topic of Disaster Management which he had introduced at the very start of the discourse while launching the A.A.D.M. website and linked it with the topic of Responsible Parenthood. Bapu said that being a responsible parent is also a form of Disaster Management. By being a responsible parent we are avoiding the disaster from happening in life of your children.
Further Bapu specifically mentioned that reciting Hanuman Chalisa three times daily with your children is the best form of disaster management one could do in his child's life.
Finally terminating the discourse Bapu quoted the famous saying
"Asel Maza Hari Tar Deil Khatlya Vari"
(If there is Lord, then he would fulfill my wishes without I doing anything).
is offcourse true. Lord (Hari) is always eager to give His child with the most best things of the world but for that firstly Hari has to be mine i.e. i have do completely as He says with complete surrender. But the main reason as to why we should not depend on this saying is Lord would become more happy seeing His child become strong.
