Jagannath Puri Utsav

Jagannath Temple is one of the most renowned as well as the biggest temples of Orissa. Established in the 12th century, the temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna), Lord of the Universe. The credit for laying the foundation of the Jagannath temple of Puri goes to Raja Ananta Varman Chodaganga Dev. The temple is located at a distance of 60 km from Bhubaneswar, on the coast of Bay of Bengal, and is greatly revered by the devotees following the Vaishnava traditions.
There is an interesting legend associated with the Jagannatha temple of Puri. It is said that King Indradyumna, the ruler of the territory, saw Lord Jagannath in his dreams and following the Lord’s wishes, as told to him in his dreams, he got the Jagannath Puri Temple constructed. Situated in the heart of the holy city, the temple is visited by devotees from farthest corners of India as well as the world. It exudes splendor and its tall spires lend it a magnificent aura. In the list of the most splendid monuments of Orissa, Jagannath temple occupies a suprem position.
One of the most popular attractions of the Jagannatha Temple of Puri comprises of its Rath Yatra that is organized every year. It is basically a chariot festival, where idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, the main deities of Srimandir, are taken to the Gundicha temple in bejeweled chariots and are brought back to the mandir in the same way.

One can hardly get to experience such an auspicious moment in life. But Shri Jagannath Ashtatirthadham Mahotsavam, held on from 3rd May to 12th May 2003 in Mumbai by grace of Param Pujya Shree Aniruddha Bapu made this city fortunate for it became now the place where this Lord who ruled the heart of his bhakta had appeared at Somaiya Vihaar ground, Sion-Chunnabhati covering total area of approx. 60 acres of land. The pilgrimage of the 4 puris and the 4 dhams, which was not easy for a common man, had been made possible by the Sadguru Shri Aniruddha by bringing the holy place for us in Mumbai and thus had offered an opportunity free of cost to one and all irrespective of caste, creed, language and religion.

By Aniruddha pornima of 2025, Param Pujya Shree Aniruddha Bapu sees a ‘Samartha Bharat”,a strong and self reliant Bharat. It is his vision. His wish to create a strong, united and principled Bharat,a role model for the entire world to look up to.
“I am an ordinary being just like you; I am no different from you”- pointedly says Dr Aniruddha Joshi. Inspired by Him, his lakhs of devotees offers themselves in bhakti and seva, at their slightest beckoning on his, their sadguru’s part.

The Shri Jagannath Ashtatirthadham Mahotsavam, held on from 3rd May to 12th May 2003 too,is a realization of Shree Aniruddha Bapu’s wish….that we imbibe and cultivate the three humanitarian values of devotion unto God(Ishwarbhakti),service unto fellow beings(manavseva)and devotion unto the motherland(rashtrabhakti) with the help of the three basic facets of the supreme being-Satya(truth),Prem(love) and Ananda(joy).
So ,rejecting barriers like caste, class, sect, religion, education…as also pointless and misleading rituals, a huge crowd had come together to celebrate this utsav….to witness it and be a part of this utsav..That was the realization of P.P Bapu’s wish.

Shree Jagannath Puri:- Down the ages, the Indian mind has always cherished the pilgrimage of the Chaardham.and here the Jagannathpuri, lord Shree Krishna of Jagannathpuri (one of these chaardham) had appeared ….for our sake, to grant us the joy of bhakti,to bless us with contentment, to fulfill our wishes and expectations ,to bring us peace and calm. The three idols sculpted by eminent artists, are a creation of skill and experience enriched by the rich and ancient tradition of orissa.exact replicas of the original idols at Jagannathpuri, these were in the daarubrahma form(the Brahma that dwells in sacred wood).
Shree Kshetra Jagannath Puri, a dias of 80,000 Sq.ft.located centrally on open grounds housed the idols of Shri Jagannath, Shri Balabadra and their Sister Subadra. 27 kinds of traditional costumes of shree Jagannath, shree Balabhadra (Balaram)and their sister Subhadra were specially designed for the utsav.
Aum Ramaaya Jagannathaya Namahthe mahamantra given to us by shree Gaurang Chaitanya Prabhu was chanted continuously from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm through each day of the utsav, from 3rd to 12th may 2003.Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu had pronounced a resolve that the jap be chanted 12 crore times. However Jap was chanted at least 24 crore times. Bhaktas could do three pradakshina and offer love, service and surrender at his feet.

Shree mokshapuri. Shree Rishabhnath, the promoter of the path of Moksha, the first Arihant of the Jains was, as stated in the Bhagwat puran, the first human incarnation of Mahavishnu.A 3.5 feet tall idol of bhagwan Shree Rishabhnath, made in marble and perfect in all respects, was worshipped in Mokshapuri.

The navukkar mantra, sacred and great as the gayatri mantra, was chantd here throughout the period that the Jagannath jap is chanted.as regards the chanting of this mantra, param poojya shree Aniruddha had pronounced a figure of a crore.the jap of the navukkar mantra leads to freedom from sin and draws mankind to the path of moksha.

Shree pateetapawan dham
This location, extremely beautiful and sacred was specially designed as per the instructions of Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu. His only motive behind having this Dham set up was:-all those who did the pradakshina and sang the gajar sincerely and with all their heart, found their way to freedom from sin and washed off of atleast a few of their sins.what Bapu uttered is the truth; Definite, unalterable and inevitable.his word never was and never will be anything but the truth. That is precisely why this place was an assurance for all mankind.A magnificient Jalakunda held the waters of the 7 holy rivers of India.

Three holy trees, the banyan tree, the peepal tree and the Oudumber tree was planted on the island right in the middle of the basin.an idol of Shree Datta Digamber, made from the sacred earth and waters of Gangotri and Jamnotri, was installed on this island. The terrain of Narad was the terrain of Bhakti which was the Pateetapavan Dham.

Shree hayagreeva dham :-This incarnation of Shree Mahavishnu grants to every man the awareness of his responsibilities and of his potential.Hayagreeva also accords the strength appropriate to the bhakta. The bhakti of Hayagreeva can wean back to morality and virtue, mankind led astray by pointless rites and rituals.Hayagreeva poojan helps men to evolve into sensible citizens and responsible members of their families. Shree Chyavanmuni,Parashar,Agasti, and Arjun are some great beings who were worshippers of the hayagreeva form. The idol installed in the Hayagriva Dham was to be worshipped by men for obtaining valor.

Rishabhnath(Trigada)

Different types of Aartis offered

Shree Savitri Dham :-Savitri,the wife of Satyavan and a incarnation (through an Anshaavataar)of savitri, the wife of Brahmadev, was worshipped here in this Dham.Solar energy is vital for the earth, mother earth.Every woman,a mother and a creator in that sense, also drawsvital energy from the sun.the sun and the earth are related as spouses and we children of mother earth.Savitri, the spouse of Brahma, the creator of the universe and a mother, accords to every woman, strength to fulfill her duties and responsibilities as her husband’s life partner and as the mother of her children. When Savitri, the wife of Satyavan sent Yama back, she had neither a thread to tie around the banyan tree nor any articles to do the pooja, nor even a priest to guide any rituals. It was her bhakto and her love for her husband that forced yama to return. This Dham was the place to experience this strength, this joy.
Shree sant puri:-This was a dwelling place of Shree Gaurang Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the great and dear bhakta of shree Jagannath.
“Shree Krishna Govinda Hare Murari. He Nath Narayan Vasudeva Radhe” Was the unique mantra sung here continuously.this was where forgetting onself in bhakti one could actually experience the grace of god. In Sant Puri the name of the Lord was uttered constantly, along with Kirtans and Abhang. Sant Puri was set in the shape of a conch.

Pitrudham :-

Indians are known to cherish fond memories of their for fathers and of their past births.
The ‘Bilvapatra’(the leaf of bilva tree)offered to the paramhansa banalinga of paramshiva, the One who grants peace after death and in an atmosphere where the vedic mantras add to the sanctity, can bring peace and grace to our forfathers who have left us.
Shree yadnya puri The Agni, the deep, the aarti, the dhuni, the Hom are forms of the original Yadnyapurush and so of course of the Trivikram sadguru mahavishnu.wise and learned sages of ancient times successfully evolved a way to reach out to this ultimate power governing the universe.

This was the Yadnyakarma.this,in fact,is an invitation to this supreme power to dwell inside Shri Gaurang Chaitanya Prabhu always told the people that Jagannath is in your heart.
